OUR GOOD OLD (NEW) FARM IN LANA, MERANO.

A farm with ‘80s vibes run by ‘80s kids.

Every place has its own special charm, shaped by its hosts. Karin, Julian, Moritz and greyhound Berkie are happy to welcome you with open arms to their holiday farmstead. But they’re not your typical farming family, oh no. Karin used to be a nurse, while Julian worked in a bank. At a certain point in their lives, they felt the call of nature – like many others, they found it hard to resist, and so their adventure on the land started.

Our love for the farm, fields, family and friends.

WELCOME, WELCOME TO OUR FARM!

We – that’s us, Karin, Julian, Moritz, and Berkie – cannot wait to welcome you on our farm. Our beloved greyhound Berkie is always happy to meet new people. He’s part of the family here at the Schnitzbichlhof.

What to expect

Unique experiences

The Schnitzbichlhof has five, renovated holiday apartments and also boasts a new swimming pool and farm store selling our homemade products.
In between meals, you can learn a lot about agriculture and life here during tours of the farm and meadows.
Every now and then, we love to grill or cook together. In autumn, we will roast chestnuts and taste the new wine. Mmm, delicious :P
Do you need hiking or sports equipment? No problem: we have rucksacks, walking sticks or snowshoes in-house. Just ask!
What do we have the other farms don’t? When time allows, we also offer guided hikes upon request. Isn’t that great? Find out more on site in Lana.

RENOVATED WITH LOVE

When it came to renovating the farm, we focus on ensuring quality always shone through. The building is high quality and 100% sustainable – we used genuine wooden floors, our furniture was custom made by the local carpenter, and we lovingly restored old pieces of furniture. We focused on ensuring we struck a balance between the old and the new. You’ll see exactly what we mean when you come and visit us. Because while pictures are worth a thousand words, there’s nothing like experiencing things yourself.
